This is a great way to remember the season for years to come and is a good holiday tradition for families who have new homes or who just need another tree in their landscape. This Christmas season Johnson's offers live Austrian Pine, Alberta Spruce and Colorado Blue Spruce (Bakeri, Hoopsii and Fat Albert). Follow these easy steps for the care and planting of your live Christmas tree: INDOOR CARE & OUTDOOR PLANTING 1) Don't keep your tree inside the house for more than ten days. 2) Keep the root ball moist while the plant is in the house. 3) Prepare the planting hole when the soil is not frozen and fill it with straw or leaves to keep the soil from freezing. 4) When moving the tree outside after Christmas, keep it in an unheated garage for a few days to acclimate it to the cold weather. 5) Be sure to water your tree with ferti-lome Root Stimulatorat planting to encourage new roots to develop. 6) During the winter months, keep the tree rootsmoist and use ferti-lome Root Stimulator 3-4 more times after planting to encourage continued root growth.
